Villa Sweet Breeze was everything the photos and description promised to be. Beginning with our inquiry of the property, we had a prompt response from the owner Jenny. She even called me internationally to answer questions and tell me things about the property before committing to rent. Once we committed she immediately arranged for a car rental and send us the information we would need for the house. The house manager and the car were waiting on us when we arrived at the airport and drove us to the house. The house is on a hill and off the beaten path--so it was great to have someone lead us there initially!
We loved the layout and openess of the house. The floor to ceiling plantation shutters open all over the house to make it a truly open house. All the bottom level rooms go right onto the verandah when the shutters are open. Absoultely wonderful and with the great chaise lounges and hammock on the porch--it was the perfect place to relax, read and watch the birds (of which there were many!). The pool was also very refreshing.
The house manager Susan and Marvin (who lives in another house on the property) were very responsive if we ever had a need. There was an issue with the lights in one washroom and it was immediatly repaired the next day. Also, we were provided with a local cell phone which was VERY helpful for arranging tours and contacting restaurants.
A couple of things to note is that the property does not have A/C. This was not much of a problem for us with being able to open the shutters and ceiling fans. But we did get a little hot when sleeping. Several nights we slept with the house wide open to keep the air flow going. Also, there are two dogs on the property. They do roam and can be active, but mostley stay to themselves. The property is surrounded by a fence and an electronic gate--this made us feel very secure during our stay.
The location of the house is a convenient 15 minutes from the Crown Point Airport and many of the restaurant and shopping areas. We did not want to leave Villa Sweet Breeze when it came time at the end of the week. We highly recommed this property to anyone wanting to truly get away from it all!

Villa sweet Breeze was everything that was described on the rental website and just as beautiful and picturesque to the eye as the the photo's suggested.
Susanna was wonderful, greeting us at the airport as soon as we arrived, and it was a tremendous relief to be met by someone who was warm and friendly as well as efficient after the trauma of immigration. She immediately called our car hire company to enquire about the where about's of our car when we arrived, as we were unable to locate the rental company. Our car was delivered within 1o mins of her call. She then drove us to the villa pointing out points of interest for us along the way. I could not have asked for a better person to meet us after such a long journey. The property was maintained to a high stranded and it was great to have someone like Marvin on sight as a port of call
Marvin was fantastic, fixing any little niggles which occurred as soon as we mentioned them. He was friendly, easy to approach and helpful, even taking a trip with us to an alternative supermarket to buy some meat. My daughters loved the dogs, especially Kaylee whom now holds a special place in my eldest daughters heart, she is defiantly a character and bundles of fun! The Villa itself was a pleasure to stay in and the breeze a welcome relief on those very hot days, although, we did not get to enjoy eating outside as much as we would have liked in the evenings due to the rain exciting the mosquito's which were out in force:

This was our third visit to this lovely place. The villa is so comfortable and the gardens so peaceful we can't imagine a better place to escape the gloom of England for a couple of weeks.
Jenny is very helpful and once there Marvin is always around in case of any questions.
The house is clean and well equipped and a great place to just hang out.The gardens are a hive of activity - lizards and humming birds - to watch and just relax in. Having the dogs around makes it a home from home for us. A few minutes drive brings you to the beach where we spent many an hour jumping the waves and swimming in the clear, blue sea.
I am sure that we will return to this very special piece of paradise.

This is such a beautiful villa in a wonderful country! we couldn't find fault with anything! Susan met us at the airport ( having waited for us for over an hour!) sorted out car hire and then drove with us to the villa! Wonderful service!

we settled in quickly, with Marvin greeting us and then leaving us to our own devices - he was there if we needed him but was not intrusive at all -just what we like!

The two dogs , Voodoo and Kayleigh - were lovely but we didn't see much of them - those not used to dogs do not need to worry at all.

we had rain for three of our seven days but even this did not detract from our lovely holiday!,

we have travelled extensively in the caribean and lived in Africa and Asia but this was our first trip to Tobago - it is a wonderful country with so much to offer and Villa Sweet Breeze is such a lovely place to stay and relax and enjoy this country even if it rains!!!

our dealings with Jenny were also very good prior to departure and I would not hesitate to recommend you book with her - you will not be disappointed!

Security was not an issue at all - I think we had been scared by reports but we felt very safe throughout our week.

We had a lovely time staying at this beautiful villa, the gardens were beautiful, attracting many exotic birds during our stay. The dawn chorus starts early in Tobago. There were books a plenty to read and browse. As a cook, I appreciated the home from home, access to all types of saucepans and was not left feeling I needed for anything. Watch out for the birds that invade the house! Hide your bananas. A very relaxing place to stay with stunning views.

We have just spent a wonderful two weeks at Villa Sweet Breeze. The location of the villa on a hillside overlloking the pool, garden and the lush vegetation of an old coconut plantation out towards Pigeon Point was just stunning. The Caribbean Sea can be seen on three side of the villa. The name of the villa is also spot on with a refreshing breeze at all times. The villa is confortably furnished and provided us with every facility that we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved spending afternoons relaxing on the wide verandah overlooking the garden and watching out for numerous species of birds. The villa is perfectly located for touring around the beautiful island with good access for beaches, restaurants and shopping.

We appreciated the assistance of Marvin who lives in a cottage in the garden and Sandra who made sure we had every thing we needed and was very helpful in arranging some where for us to spend our last day before our evening flight home.

We have stayed in numerous villas throughout the Caribbean and certainly rate our stay in Tobago as one of our most enjoyable and will hopefully be returning to Villa Sweet Breeze in the future.

My husband and I spent a week here over New Years with our 16 & 22 yr old sons. The house was perfect for us. Really clean, modern, esthetically pleasing. Inifinity pool was the perfect temperatuer. Couldn't ask for a better view and so relaxing, great deck to chillax on! We cooked and ate al fresco. The owner and grounds keeper as well as house manager all were available to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible.

Our family spent a perfect Christmas at this lovely house! It was home from home - a very comfortable house. We were made to feel very welcome and the house had all we needed for a very relaxing holiday. It is in a beautiful location which makes it feel very secluded and special. We were all happy to spend long days playing in the pool in the sunshine, watching the hummingbirds, butterflies and lizards in the garden or just looking at the fantastic views across the forest to the Caribbean sea. Sometimes we managed to drag ourselves away to splash in the waves at Black Rock beach, just a 10 minute drive away. This was our second visit to Villa Sweet Breeze and we really hope to return again before too long!
