Dit Paasweekend doorgebracht in Positano. De eerste keer aan de Amalfi kust en meteen verkocht voor het leven. Casa San Matteo is de perfecte locatie om een paar dagen te genieten van dit prachtige dorp of om zelfs voor langere tijd te verblijven. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en uitstekend onderhouden. De locatie is uitmuntend, je kunt snel de drukte opzoeken en ´s nachts biedt het huis rust. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding perfect. Ik beveel Casa San Matteo aan iedereen van harte aan.

My husband, baby, and I stayed at Carmen Apartment here for 1 full week. We had a lovely time. The apartment is just as described and looks just as pictured. It was casual yet tasteful, very comfortable and best of allllllll, the view was amazing. The location was great too.

Marco was the best! He made us feel right at home, and helped us get our bearings of Positano quickly. When we ventured out to Paestum he gave us perfect directions and even suggested we take a side trip to a nearby buffalo farm (agrotourism is huge in Italy...little did we know but most certainly appreciated once we realized).

Great location overlooking Positano in a modern fully equiped appartment. 10 mins walk from downtown off internal road.

Choice of carparks only 5 minutes walk down the internal road from top of steps or if without a car only a few minutes walk to the bus stop on internal road or to the SITA bus on the SS163 (beside the international bar).

First class customer service and advice from the housekeeper on where to get best value locally.

Would certainly reccomend to anyone planning on spending a few days in Positano.

The Villa was precisely as promised by our hospitable host, who could not do enough for us, both before our arrival and into our stay. Giovanni met us at the top of the stairs and assisted us with our bags. He took an obvious pride in the villa and spent time orientating us to the villa which was clean and serviced each day. Giovanni's pride extended to Positano and he happily shared his local knowledge on the eateries and places to shop and stock up on produce.
We enjoyed the cuisine at the local cafes followed by a bottle of Prosecco on the balcony each evening, when we were lucky enough to watch a firework display on a couple of nights with the sounds echoing throughout the town. It was also a great spot to set out for a wander around Positano, where we spent time in the many quality linen and shoe shops. We enjoyed the bus trip to Amalfi and another local bus trip on to Rovello.

I would recommend this property to any couple wanting a secluded escape but point out the need for reasonable fitness and good knees to cope with the many steps and sloping terrain.

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for a week, John, (the manager) was wonderful, gave us detailed instructions to get there and was there to greet us after a very long day of travelling.

The apartment is exactly as shown on the pictures only more charming in real life! The views were spectacular, and if the thought of 100 steps to the apartment seems a bit daunting, give it a try, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and we exercised some muscles we hadn't used in years. Besides most of the places to stay in Positano had steps to get there!

The apartment was very tidy and clean and we felt at home, yet on holidays there!

We would definately recommend this property to friends, and hope to get back there. John was always around when we needed him for advice and information, but always respected our privacy and wasn't in your face. The Manager is also speaks flawless english which was a huge plus! The locals in Positano were wonderful and friendly, and took care of us even when communication was a problem!

Can't wait to go back again.
