We visited in May half term, with mixed weather. Cottage was great, clean and well-presented, with good-sized garden and sociable kitchen-dining space. Downstairs bathroom, which isn't unusual for a cottage of this age.
Great views across the valley and walks from the door, including to the coast/Salcombe if you're feeling energetic (we managed it with three young children!) Best to drive for daily trips to the beach, although you'll have to negotiate the very narrow driveway.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

This a really lovely cottage and an ideal spot for exploring the South Hams. Its in the heart of the village but in a quiet (hidden!) spot with superb views from the garden. Its well equipped and also family friendly, with plenty of space for kids to roam about outside in safety.

If you are looking to be close to great beaches, good walks and the shops of Kingsbridge, this is the place.

A fantastic base in the South Hams with so many things to do which will keep everyone entertained. A lovely cottage in a village that has lots of life (shop, post office, two pubs and even a bistro). The cottage has . The patio area is really lovely for al fresco dining or sun-bathing.

Great beaches close by.

Salcombe a short drive away. New restaurant open at South Sands Boutique Hotel and Restaurant which has fantastic views (and also great food and wine!). This adds to the restaurants available.

Very comfortable and well equipped ,child friendly, cosy thatched cottage with beautiful views from the suntrap garden. The cottage is very handily situated in a beautiful part of the country with stunning beaches in close proximity such as Thurlestone, Hope Cove, Blackpool Sands and the beaches at East Portlemouth. There are gorgeous walks along the nearby dramatic coastline. Vale Court is about an hour from Dartmoor for a total change of scenery and there are many country pubs serving local produce nearby. All in all possibly the nicest cottage in one of the most beautiful parts of the country I've stayed in and I would highly recommend it.

Vale Court cottage is a very well equipped holiday home and is in a nice quiet village with a pub just a minutes walk away. The cottage itself is very family friendly, with everything you would need from buckets and spades to videos for the little ones to watch. The local shop is only a few minutes away and has everything you would need including freshly baked bread and pastries. The views around the cottage are spectacular and the garden is a lovely place to relax in the sunshine. It is only a short drive to the local beaches which are great buckets and spades spots with opportunities to go rock pooling when the tide is out. There are some lovely seafood restaurants by the beach, particularly 'the winking prawn' beside North Sands beach. You can get a little ferry from south sands beach into Salcombe town centre and is a lovely trip to do and I would recommend the fish and chips for lunch once you are there.
We had a wonderful holiday here and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage, particularly for families. We are definitely going back next year!!
