Our family of 5 spent a week at this exquisite holiday villa, during August 2009. House of the sea is completely secluded, peaceful & quiet, overlooking magnificent view of the bay & surrounding mountains. After a week touring the island, did not find a better spot.
Lovely, natural beaches, short drive away.
The villa itself is very spacious, highly equipped & designed, allowing the very best for families used to high standards of living at home, expecting their holiday home to be even better.
Large & fully equiped kitchen. We spent most of our evenings eating dinner on the terrace, using the very fresh & tasty local products, bought earlier 15 minutes drive away.
The daily maid services were very effective, allowing us full service including dishwasher loading...

Spacious, comfortable, beautiful, very well kept bedrooms & bathrooms. Nice pool, lovely garden.
The owners, very nice & hospitable couple from Holland, built this lovely villa to be their own vacation home. This off course effects the atmosphere, making it warm & cozy.

Gorgeous location and house, incredible attention to details
We were looking for a secluded and quiet retreat for a relaxing week in the sun.What a wonderful feeling we had on the first sighting of the many and splendidly situated villas on our holiday island Lefkada. We’d spent hours on the net without anything really springing out at us, until “House of the Sea” came along.The contact through email was supple and after a quick ring we booked for two weeks in july 2009. If you believed the website we were heading for paradise. We found the perfect location in this property.The villa is designed to appeal to the senses with a wonderful interior and beautiful views. House of the Sea is situated in mountainous terrain with a magnificent view over the bay.The villa is well hidden away. Upon our arrival in Igoumenitsa we drive at a point where we’d agreed upon beforehand and we were escorted by our host to his villa.
A warm and yet discrete welcoming. We all thoroughly enjoyed the best that the local patisserie has to offer: cheesecake! After refreshments, we were given a short but clarifying guided tour of “our” holiday home. Wherever you looked, the furniture, paintings on the walls, the rooms, the kitchen, all well-chosen by a practical and refined mind! The villa is very well maintained and equipped to the highest standards. It feels homely and comfortable. It is also very clean which tells the customer that they are valued. The thoughtfully chosen library of books, guides and DVD’s we found to be very informative and entertaining.
Our kids took an evening dip in the swimmingpool to prepare them for bed! And we had a moon-bath with a glass of the best local wine. The website hadn’t exaggerated!
The suggestions made in our useful informationbook were definitely helpful. We couldn’t really put a foot wrong. Interesting day-trips, top quality restaurants in the neighbourhood, and down in the nearby village Nidri will hire you a reasonably good bicycle or motorbike should you need one. We would advise you to get some wheels under you to spend the day at the local beach. The walk back could be rather tiring at the end of the day. Mind you the wide choice of places to eat will replenish you enough to get you back home without having to expend too much energy.
On the west coast you must visit Egremni. Warm sand and exciting waves. And don’t miss Porto Katsiki!

Dreams come true at a wonderful place to be!

We spend one week with my family, my wife and three daughters and we took grandma and grandpa with us, staying in the house with 7 persons altogether. Not only the house itself is like a dream but also the surroundings and the breathtaking view are superb. The place is very quiet, a perfect location to relax and rejoice a well deserved vacation. The house is very spacious with beautiful rooms, very well kept, with astounding pieces of art, large paintings and exquisite sculptures. The children could swim, the older people could walk through the olives trees, so for every age this is a perfect location. The beaches are well within reach, so this is a house we can absolutely recommend to anyone who wants splendid luxury, spacious surroundings, superb views and much privacy. This must be one of the most beautiful houses you will find in the Mediteranian.
