We all had a fantastic time in Kaprun last week and are struggling with having to come back to reality.

The whole experience was very relaxing and enjoyable for adults and children alike. The apartment was even better than we expected and the garden was a favourite place for the children to play out after skiing.

The apartment was spacious, spotless and very well stocked. The close proximity of the supermarket was a real boon as we went there most days and it wasn't far to carry the afternoon / evening beers!

Firstly, I must say that of our four visits to Kaprun, staying in your apartment has been the best.

The apartment was amazing, new, clean and very spacious (something which I feel the pictures did not do justice, for the bedrooms were extremely spacious even with the nine of us).

We all loved it there thank you for letting us stay.

Secondly, what about next year for us? We are thinking about staying again if it would be at all possible. If it is, would you be able to keep the returnable deposit? In which case what dates would be available to you for next year.

What a fabulous week in a fabulous apartment, the highlight of our stay was the evening walk up the Sigmund-Thun-Klamm gorge, by torchlight a lovely experience. Also river rafting at Taxenbach, hired bikes in Kaprun and cycled to Zell am See, for a swim and sun bathe...

Too many times I think people only manage to spend time to complain so I wanted to make sure I took the time out to tell you how delighted we were with the apartment. You can never be sure that what you read & see in brochures, websites, etc is a fair reflection of what you are going to get, but in this case it was spot on! The apartment was lovely, and lived up to & beyond your descriptions on your website & our expectations. It is spacious, comfortable, well decorated/furnished & in a nice location (especially for the supermarket!). We also appreciated the extra effort you went to with little things such as sending the events info (not that we managed to be that organised to attend anything) , the emails wishing us a pleasant stay & upon our return to make sure we had a good time. We would gladly recommend the apartment & will be hoping that we will be using it again in the not too distant future. Stuart (uk)

Some friends an I decided to go to Austria for a long weekend staying at the Austrian-Holiday-Apartment in Kaprun.
We found the accommodation on the web and got an early cheap flight with Ryanair from Stanstead (£50 each).
We flew to Salzburg in 1 hour 40 mins (arriving 20 mins early) and hired a car from Avis (e100 for 4 days) and spent the day sight seeing in Salzburg.
The weather was perfect, crisp and sunny with clear blue skies.
Every where is trimmed up traditionally for the festive season and very tastefully too with the white lights twinkling against the frost and snow in the background.
There is plenty to see. Christmas market, ice rink in the square, food stalls. Make sure you try the mulled wine or schnapps or both!
The goulash soup is worth tying. A local dish and the meat is excellent. There are shops galore all tastefully decorated for those of you who want to shop.
We decided to look rather than buy and spent our time exploring all the side streets. There is also a castle, museum, gallery and casino.
I recommend you walk down by the river and have a coffee at the roof top cafe/bar at the Hotel Stein which overlooks the town and river.
Great views and rugs are provided for those who feel the cold. Everything is done so well and everybody speaks English too!
We arrived at the apartment in Kaprun late afternoon after a 75 min drive from Salzburg.
The apartment is new, well appointed, clean and warm with under floor heating. Plus a store room for boots and skis etc.
The rooms are en-suite and there are views of the mountains from the front windows.
There is a supermarket close by for all your needs and it is only a 5 min walk into the town centre via the bridge.
You park the car in the basement and the drive is heated so there is never a problem with ice and snow to hinder your entry/exit.

The next day we woke up to 4 inches of snow. A picture perfect Christmas card. Wunderba.
Everywhere looked magical. It brought the child out of us all.
The roads were cleared with typical Austrian efficiency. The snow plough and gritters had been out during the night, so driving was not going to be a problem.
We headed out to Zell am See for a look round. Beautiful town, again trimmed up tastefully for Christmas (white lights only) with a Christmas fair that opens up at 4pm with brazier fires,
surrounded by cabins and bars. We headed for the lake for a walk then a hot drink at the Grand Hotel on the lakeside with good vie

Two families eight of us in total took over the apartment. The apartment is brand new and tastefully decorated. It is very spacious and everything you would expect is provided. Plenty of fluffy towels and bedding. Nice views from the front patio up towards the glacier. The location is spot on. a short distance from the town center and near to a well equipped supermarket that was able to provide everything we needed. Handy having two parking places as we had two cars between us. Good storage facilities in basement.

During our stay which coincided with a very hot spell we walked, river rafted, swam in the lake from the nearby lido at Zell am see and hired bikes and cycled. Went on a lovely night walk following a waterfall on the catwalk followed by baked potatoes and a roaring open fire with a local singing group. The route back was lit by each walker been given a burning wax torch. Starts of walk is about 14 minutes walk from the apartment. Also went o a Restaurant (Cannot remember the name ) up the hillside which hosted a local music night. The meal was good the best value of the week but the musicians were brilliant helped along by regular top ups of Schnapps by the staff.

A great place in summer and no doubt in winter it will be just as good for the skiing season. Would definitely recommend the area and the apartment it for anytime of the year. We hope to go back.
