We loved Casa Marisombra! The accomodations and staff are excellent! We traveled with our best fiends. House was much larger than we needed, however, for the four if us it was less expensive than then neiboring condos. The plus is that the staff completes all the shopping and cooking for you. There isn't a store close by so this is a major plus. The food was fresh...vegetables, fruit and protein (fish, chicken, pork, steak, lobster!) The staff buys locally and/or they will cook what you catch if Zach takes you on a fishing excursion. I recommend that you have Jessica's husband Dahrma take you on driving tour to San Juan Del Sur. He will accompany you the whole day. Victoria, the owner, was very attentive to any pre-trip questions and/or needs that you may have. She met us on the last day and it was like extended family. It was difficult to leave as Marlon, Darling and Jessica became like family. We are planning another trip back down with our children and extended family. We would love to live in the neighborhood on our ten year plan! :)

10/10. Casa Marisombra is the ultimate in holiday accomodation. The location, the amenaties, the food and more important than anything else, the STAFF. They are what make this house a home away from home.Yes the house is perfect, yes the food is to die for, yes the whole property is the ultimate beach holiday, but Jessica, Darling, Jacquiline and Marlon are the reason we would return to this paradise called Casa Marisombra. These people were the most loving, generous and accommodating people you will ever meet. They were NEVER the staff to us, they were our Nica family. Yes they will do what ever it takes to make your holiday extra special, nothing is too much trouble for them, and Victoria, the owner is amazing. Basically, your every whim is catered for here. BUT - if you do stay here, please take the time to get to know the staff, they are not servants, they are people, and you will find they are the most amazing and loving people, just happy to do their jobs and make your holiday a time to remember. I have heard horror stories of how some "staff" are treated in various holiday homes in Nica, they are treated like slaves and not even spoken to by guests, let alone given a glass of juice or a kind "hola" in the mornings. So please, if visiting Hacienda Iguana, enjoy the beach, enjoy your holiday, and above all, treat these gorgeous Nica people with the respect they deserve.
So in summing up. Dont book anywhere else but Casa Marisombra. You wont be dissapoiinted, it will be the holiday of a lifetime.

My wife and I loved the house, it's amenities, feel and comfort. They have thought of many details that make the stay comfortable. The location is great being so close to the 'colorado' surf break (two minute walk). We had a meal by the chef "jessica" it was well presented, delicious, and very healthy. We would suggest seafood dishes. All the nice shady sitting areas make you just want to relax and read a book as the wind blows through the trees al around. Oh yeah the grounds were very well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful.

Casa Marisombra is an excellent choice for accommodations. The location is perfect and the staff is wonderful. The meal plan is a great choice so that you can have more time in the pool or at the beach. You will wish for more time there!

Casa Marisombra is a beautiful home located across the street from an awesome beach. The home is quite comfortable and a great place to relax and unwind. The staff is what makes the home the best place to stay in Hacienda Iguana. Make sure and get the meal plan...the food is delicious and every meal is an experience to look forward to. This was our second visit to Casa Marisombra and we loved it. The surf was just as good in December as it was in April. We are looking forward to returning next year.

The house was a perfect home for our family vacation. We loved everything from the beautiful beaches to the awesome surf to the delicious food prepared daily. The staff was so kind and attentive to our every need. By far our best vacation ever. We look forward to returning at Christmas.

Great location for very good local surf, great staff, and great food! I would definitely stay at Casa Mirasombra again!
