I have holidayed at Northey Island with family many times over the past 12 years and would recommend it time and again, we all love it and have a wonderful time. The house has a wonderful olde world relaxed feeling, steeped in history and has always been spotlessly cleaned. What it lacks in the glamour of holidays abroad it more than makes up for in total relaxation and peace. From the moment you reach the causeway, you can literally hear the silence broken only by the sound of the native wildlife. The island is a paradise for children young or older, my 23yr old niece still loves it. They can explore and 'imagine' to their hearts content. When the tide is in you experience a wonderful isolation and freedom to sit and watch the world go by at the waters edge or go sailing/rowing in boats provided. When the tide is out you can completely walk round the island or venture off to do shopping or site seeing, various attractions are within easy reach. Night time brings excitement to the patient - bat watching, fantastic. If you never holiday anywhere else you really should go to Northey Island.
