I love this home! It was extremely clean and GORGEOUS! There are pretty much ocean views from every room. The acre provided fantastic privacy. Beverly Verna was extremely helpful and answered all of my silly questions. I will never forget my stay here, and will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at Tillicum House a great deal. The house is lovely, very comfortable, and has a large well-equipped kitchen. The property is right on the beach with huge windows overlooking the ocean. The owners have provided useful information about local sights and trails, and you are very close to everything. Cape Perpetua is simply gorgeous, and there are trails for all levels of hikers. We would definitely return!

This is an amazing home and the views are unprecedented. Located at the end of a drive and sitting right on the coast, it's incredibly private and provides everything one might need away from home.
We were here for my daughter's spring break and experienced five days of heavy winds and torrential downpours. However, watching these storms and the crashing waves from this beautiful home, in front of a warm fire created the perfect vacation for us all.
The home is not only architecturally amazing but decorated beautifully. Large windows face out toward the coast from all west facing rooms, deep and relaxing Jacuzzi tub in the master bath, comfortable and attractive bedding, full kitchen with many of the basics (coffee, filters, condiments, spice rack, sugar, etc.), stereo system throughout, fantastic entertainment system with DVD, Netflix, Pandora and Dish cable as well as Wi-Fi. There is a barbeque, outside seating, beach toys and additional clothing just in case you need an extra jacket or sweatshirt. Depiction of the home is more than accurate in advertising and the owner was great to work with.
While in Yachats...
CK Market in Yachats has a nice selection of organic foods, wines and everything you need. I would recommend getting fish at Luna's restaurant however. Owned by a fisherman, we were able to purchase crab, scallops, bay shrimp and ling cod. According to a woman I spoke to, Luna's is amazing for seafood dinners (eat in or take out).
Due to the economy, a lot of places have closed in Yachats but Newport offered some great activities and is only a short drive north. We visited the Newport Aquarium and the downtown area for shopping and site seeing.

There is a great line of galleries, north of Yachats and South of the rental. Touchstone and Wave galleries are fun to visit.

Tillicum Lodge is a beautiful place! The first time we came inside, we were surprised to see all the beautiful art pieces gathered with love and preciously arranged around the house. It was almost dark when we arrived. Next morning, the outside welcomed us. Each morning we enjoyed the view, birds hasting through the wind nearby the windows, birds resting and eating on the waves, an old man wandering alone without a dog and so on. There is a bunny in the garden around five in the afternoon. We had a wonderful week at the coast. Climbed Cape Perpetua, shopped in Florence, etc. We do not like to go, but at home we will remember summer 2010 in Tillicum Lodge! A place to love!!!

Came for my 40th with girlfriends. This place is magical. I’m already trying to figure how and when to come back! Made great meals in the amazingly well stocked kitchen. Everything is so clean and comfortable. View from the bed in the master is heaven!

We all had so much fun. This house is so outstanding. We have stayed many places but none of them made us feel more at home.

What an amazing home! If we had a beach house it would be exactly like this one! We absolutely loved everything about it! We will be back next year! Our family, 2 daughters (6 & 8), my husband and I have great memories from this trip!

What a peaceful, lovely home and beach. Our family looks forward to meeting here again next year! We especially appreciated the comfortable décor, cleanliness, trust with the art collections, and all the extra amenities that made us feel at home.
