Durchgehend luxuriös, mit modernster HiFi-Anlage (drinnen & draußen), Flachbild-TV mit Sky im luxuriösen TV-Zimmer. ADSL & WiFi im ganzen Haus. Große Terrasse mit schönem Steintisch, Gartenraum mit Bar & Blick aufs Schwimmbad. Runder, eingebauter, separater Whirlpool. Durchgehend Möbel von hohem Standard. Eine schöne Außenküche wurde für diese Saison fertiggestellt & hat einen Weber-Grill, Rotisserie & Holzofen für Pizzas. Wunderschöne, schattige Bereiche zum Entspannen, wenn Sie sich eine Pause von der Hitze gönnen möchten. Hier gibt es 2 marokkanische Steinsofas mit Überwürfen & Polstern. Ärgerlich
Es handelt sich um ein sehr schönes Ferienhaus auf einem schönen, großen Grundstück. Für 14 Pers. (so viele waren wir) halten wir es nicht geeignet, da ein Schlafzimmer sehr klein ist und außerdem ohne Fenster. So schliefen 2 Pers. unserer Reisegruppe die ganze Woche im Garten. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt (bis auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten, wie Ameisen, verstopfte Abflüsse etc.), der durch immensen Ärger mit der Kaution getrübt wurde. Was schon mal unüblich ist: die Kaution musste ca. 1 Monat vor Anreise geleistet werden. Sie sollte dann nicht auf das im Vertrag angegebene Konto überwiesen werden, sondern auf ein englisches Konto. Nach unserer Rückkehr warteten wir vergeblich auf die Rückerstattung. Erst nach über einem Monat, nach zahlreichen Mails, erhielten wir einen Betrag zurück, der allerdings nicht dem von uns geleisteten Kautionsbetrag entsprach. Dies wurde vom Hausbesitzer mit dem nun schlechteren Wechselkurs (Pfund / Euro) gerechtfertigt. Nach einem heftigen Schriftwechsel haben wir gestern, am 18.08.11, eine Mail erhalten, dass der Rest nun überwiesen wurde. Ich fahre seit ca. 30 Jahren jedes Jahr in diverse Ferienhäuser, habe aber noch nie erlebt, dass eine Kaution über einen Zeitraum von 3 Monaten einbehalten wurde . Von der Kaution wurde auch der Stromverbrauch abgezogen (was natürlich korrekt ist), wobei weder bei unserer Ankunft noch bei unserer Abreise eine Ablesung erfolgte. Obwohl in der ganzen Woche weder Fernseher, noch Stereoanlage od. andere elektr. Geräte benützt wurden, lagen wir mit dem abgezogenen Betrag über dem im Vertrag angegeben Wochendurchschnitt. So schön dieser Platz auch ist, unsere Empfehlung: Finger weg.
Vermieter-Kommentar: Mit grossem Befremden haben wir Ihre Bewertung in der FeWo-direkt zur Kenntnis genommen. Wir vermieten die Villa seit nunmehr 6 Jahren und hatten noch nie Probleme irgendwelcher Art. Leider war uns die deutsche Seite FeWo nicht bekannt und so nehmen wir erst jetzt wie folgt Stellung: Es ist deutlich im Mietangebot vermerkt, das das siebte Schlafzimmer klein und ohne Fenster ist. Das Schlafzimmer ist jedoch voll funktionstuechtig mit einem sehr schoenen Doppelbett und es ist erfrischend kuehl im Sommer. Wir haben nie eine Beschwerde waehrend oder nach einem Aufenthalt unserer Gaeste vernommen.

Weiterhin halten wir fest, dass wir nur den vorher geschaetzten Betrag fuer Elektrizitaet berechnet haben! Das ist nomalerweise ein sehr kleiner Betrag (weniger als 75 Euro), den wir jedoch natuerlich in Rechnung stellen - wie Sie ganz richtig bemerken. Das Reingungspersonal liest an jedem Samstag den Stromzaehler, zu unserem Bedauern wurde keinerlei Ruecksicht auf den Energieverbrauch genommen. Das ist nicht umweltfreundlich und ausserdem ist die Rechnungsstellung fuer Strom in unserem Mietuebereinkommen festgehalten.
Zu den Vorwuerfen der verstopften Abflussrohre und anderer Kleinigkeiten - wie Sie es nennen - moechten wir uns nicht aeussern. Wir bedauern Ihre negative Beurteilung, wuerden uns aber freuen, wenn Sie Zeit und Interesse faenden, die anderen Bewertungen zu lesen. Great villa experience
My wife and I along with a friend were looking for somewhere to stay on the French Riviera that was off the beaten track but close enough to Cannes and Monaco so that we could enjoy everything the coast had to offer. Wow what a find, this villa ticked all the boxes the hosts where totally welcoming the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The pool certainly came in handy and the living areas had a great lived in feeling. I would highly recommend this villa to any body wanting to spend time in the south of France. Oh by the way it was really quite affordable as well.

Incredible stay at Villa Aurita
We rented the Villa for a weekend (Friday afternoon to Monday morning). We wanted a location where we could host our wedding party and also a Sunday brunch the next day.
Needless to say, the Villa was perfect. The owners were very professional and took care of all our needs. We rented the entire Villa and had 12 people staying for the weekend. Everyone found the pool area, outdoor firepit, pizza oven as well as all the rooms fantastic.
We had the pleasure of staying in the master bedroom, which was everything you would expect: magnificent, with a view to the pool, and a large private bathroom.
The kitchen in the Villa is gorgeous, with a beautiful view to the village nearby. The granite table and kitchen equipment makes professional kitchens look amateur.
I'd recommend the Villa to just about anyone who wants to rent the place out for a weekend (or longer!). Whether it's for a wedding, birthday, or simply a holiday! The location is great as it's only 40 min drive to Nice.
Thanks again to Lucy and Wayne for making our weekend extra special. We'll surely be coming back.

Gorgeous villa in the south of France
We had the most pleasurable time staying at the villa. Our room was in the turrett and had its own private terrace. The room and the bathroom were both well appointed. The villa was gorgeous. What a beautiful villa!
We rented this villa for a party and comfortably managed to have 30 dinner guests. With a lovely garden and great views, we had a fine time. The bedrooms are nice and light, the decoration is full of Provencal character, and the villa has beautiful views out over the mountains.
The listing description is accurate, and the property is clean and well-maintained.
It's in a good location for visiting the whole of the Cote d'Azur, as long as you have a car, and it is in a very quiet area (except when we had our party!!!)

Our time at Villa Aurita
We booked the villa for a family gathering of 12 (13 if you count the friendly visiting goat)
Our party was aged between 4 months to 70, the lay out of the villa suited us all, mum, dad and baby had the apartment as that was well equipped for them to do their own thing and to attend to baby, there were two bedrooms which was great as the baby was able to have her cot in one of these.
The rest of us also had bedrooms that were ideal, for us oldies the two bedrooms on the ground floor were great so no stair climbing. The rest of the youngsters were upstairs all with well suited bedrooms.
I think we all had our favourite parts of the villa, and the BBQ evenings were a big hit. We arranged musical entertainment one evening which was great, and a murder mystery took place during another. There is enough room in and outside if you want or need some space.
All in all we had a fabulous time, some of our family hadn't been to the South of France before and were a bit sceptical but were taken aback by some of the great places we took them too and are now planing their own holiday back to the area. There is something for everyone in this part of France for young and old so we never had any complaints.
We did a lot of our own cooking and as stated the kitchen has everything you need, we made full use of the fridge freezer, especially the ice compartment, the additional fridge and drinks cooler by the apartment were very useful and were always full.
From the villa there are some stunning views and on a clear day you can see for miles, we made full use of the garden and pool those of us who were brave enough to get in! even the baby had her first swim and after the initial shock drifted off to sleep in her rubber ring. I am sure as the weather hots up the pool will be a lot warmer.
Wayne was always at the end of a phone or e-mail so if you have any worries you can feel confident that he is around to sort things out for you.
You will definitely need a car and the drive up to the villa is steep, the shops are very near so there is no need to worry about getting the goodies.
We found a Carrefour nr Valbonne that is really good and it is open Sunday mornings.
If you want to stay around the villa, there are many books for you to read whilst drinking your wine under the shade, or you can watch television, play music swim, or just chill.
We would recommend Villa Aurita from there you can plan your holiday to be as quiet or as lively as you want be.

We booked to stay in this wonderful villa for a suprise 30th Birthday holiday, in total 14 of us visited but we had a maximum of 12 staying in the villa at any time which worked perfectly. The villa has everything you could wish for and the firepit and BBQ were a huge hit!
The description of the villa is completely accurate and we found the villa to be kitted with all of the essentials that we could possibly need. The villa is perfectly located, you can walk into the local village in about 5 minutes where there are some great restaurants, you also have a brilliant point from which to explore the best of the Riviera, we visited St Tropez, Monte Carlo, Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Grasse amongst others and they were all within really easy reach for day trips.
Wayne was incredibly helpful and responsive to every query along the way, we took up his suggestion about getting a caterer and on our final evening had a meal cooked for us at the villa. It was the perfect end to our week and meant that we could enjoy a delicious homemade meal made from great local ingredients (the cheese was superb!) together on our final evening without getting the end of holiday blues!
I would wholeheartedly recommend this villa to anyone as it's truely got something for everyone to enjoy and we'd certainly love to visit again!

Absolutely Brilliant Villa!
Villa Aurita is absolutely stunning, the interior is beautifully decorated with lovely airy spaces, a fantastic kitchen and spacious bedrooms. One of the bedrooms has an outdoor bath which was seriously a treat! The exterior of the property is lovely and includes a firepit and pizza oven as well as a spacious lawn. I am definitely going to recommend this villa to any of my friends who wish to stay in the south of france, with the knowledge that they will have a fantastic time!

Fabulous, family-friendly villa
Villa Aurita is gorgeous, we adored our stay. Quiet and private location, not overlooked, which added to the overall air of exclusivity. The pictures can't convey the full impact of the knock-out vistas in the flesh. Lovely eclectic mix of furnishings. Great layout for socialising/dining indoors and out (one thing to note - you can't light the fire-pit, pictured, between July and Sept due to local fire regulations) with enough space so that a big group like ours had room to spread out. The large main living space, comprising sitting area, dining area and TV/chill-out area, is open-plan and works brilliantly. The kitchen is a joy to cook in, due to the amazing view, the quality of the fittings/appliances and the vast array of equipment provided.
We each had our own favourite ‘spots’, whether it was sun-worshipping on the roof terrace, lounging and swimming by the pool, reading under the dappled shade of the magnificent French Oak tree, taking an outdoor siesta on the cushion-strewn day bed, chatting over a cup of coffee at the marble counter in the kitchen, playing Monopoly around the living room table, or lazing decadently on one of the over-sized sofas in front of the huge flat-screen TV. My personal favourite thing to do was simply to lean on the railings of the balcony/terrace, gazing out over the idyllic pool area, past lush foliage, towards the coast. Heaven.
The part of the village within easy walking distance (Pre du Lac) is not the “chocolate-boxy” bit of Chateauneuf that you see if you search Google images – that part is actually half a mile or so further up the hill. The bit that’s only five/ten mins walk is not as picturesque, but much more convenient, with cafes/restaurants/ local shops. Le Capriccio restaurant (just at the bottom of the hill leading up to the villa), is three minute's walk and has live music outside one night a week - great fun and lots of local people to chat to, plus the pizzas were fab. There is also a fantastic butcher’s shop and a great greengrocer, both with lovely friendly staff. The nearest supermarket is a five-minute drive away for the heavy stuff (the walk back up to the villa from the shops is short, but quite steep!)
We did venture out to sample the glamour of Cannes/Antibes and the beauty of Grasse, but to be honest, Villa Aurita is so wonderful in its own right, it was always a bit of an effort to drag ourselves away! Thanks Wayne and Lucy – I envy you being able to call this place “home”!
