This was our 3rd trip to V ashon and staying at this beautiful home - the view from the deck was awesome and the home has everything you could ask for including a fenced area for our family pet. The property is surrounded by trees and glorius gardens - I loved picking the strawberries and tomatoes for our meals and right across the street is a vegetable farm stand. Bar-b-quing every night with fresh fish and vegetables and a fabulous sunset. I love the privacy of the home and it includes Kayaks for enjoying the quiet waters of the bay. The location could not be better 20minutes from Seattle or Tacoma by Ferry. The weekly farmers markets, the Hardware Store Restaurant, the hiking trails, great lavender coffee all added to our enjoyment of this beautiful island - I will be planning my trip for next year at this wonderful home and island.

Fantastic! We tried to rent a place for 2 nights on Vashon during the summer, when everything is a week minimum. When these folks had an opening, they went out of their way to make our 2 night stay work for them and us. Thankfully! Beautiful view, an eagle's nest next door, plenty of room to cook and entertain, fun on the water in the kayaks, and comfy beds made for a wonderful vacation. I would highly recommend this property to anyone wishing to enjoy their time on this fabulous island.

Our stay was wonderful. We did lots of cooking in the newly remodeled kitchen. It's a serious cook's
kitchen and is very well equipped. (The island has good food shopping, including fresh eggs and produce.) Our three generations had room to spread out for reading, card playing and movie/TV watching. We also spent hours at the beach skipping stones and finding shells. (We had planned to use the kayaks, but it turned out that the Vashon park district was having a free kayak day and we decided to try those.) The garden is magnificent, and my granddaughter and I had a wonderful time cutting flowers for vases. What a lovely visit for all of us.

I want to personally thank the owner of this property for making it so easy to take a much needed rest and relaxation trip to the Seattle area.

This place was a little spendy for me, and a little bit more than my normal budget allows. BUT WELL WORTH IT. The home was located on Maury Island, attached by a small isthmus to the larger Vashon Island. It's a quick ferry ride from Western Seattle, but it's probably not the kind of place you want to rent for a rocking night out on the town. The home was gorgeous and well-kept, right on a pebbly beach that extended out into Quartermaster Harbor. I made a point to come "home" each night to watch the sunset. The owner's guide to the place even pointed out the best area for sunset watching. It's a mystical kind of thing.

The house was well appointed, with a newly re-done kitchen. I was almost afraid to use it - it was that nice. Upscale appliances. The rest of the place was nice but comfortable, in a way that made it easy to feel at ease while getting ready for a soak in the hot tub. I had a chance to stay during May, which included an Island Artist's Studio tour and the beginning of the agricultural produce season. If you have a chance to get here, don't miss it.

I just wanted to send a note and say that my group of women friends were in heaven at you lovely home. We nestled in and enjoyed every aspect from the beautiful view, the surrounding trees and vegetation, the hot tub (nothing like soaking with rain in your face!), the glorious kitchen and the general feeling of being in a wonderful home with stories to tell.
I appreciate your letting people such as ourselves enjoy what you have created. We look forward to a return visit in the spring!

My family stayed here over the holidays. We were able to spread out and have space for each kid and ourselves. We invited family from Seattle for dinner and there was plenty of room for everyone to eat and visit. The hot tub was magical under the stars in the cool evening. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed! We will be staying here again!

We spent a week in Madie's home. My adult chidlren and new granddaughter were with us for the first time in a long time and we couldn't have found a better place to gather, relax, and sightsee. View is as shown, lovely. We grilled on the deck and my wife and daughter cooked gourmet meals in the modern kitchen. Vashon Island is a charming place in its own right. Eat at the Hardware Store and buy pastries at the Monket Tree. Kyak and pick berries on the beach below the house. See Seattle, go to Tillicum Villiage, go to the mountains, the other islands, wineries. The ferry is part of the fun getting around the area. We all felt that we were at home and were given a peek at a special spot.

This beautiful vacation home is everything you dreamed of. Perfectly furnished and now with a new gourmet kitchen, you never need to leave this incredible getaway. There is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy breakfast on the patio and dinner on the deck, both bathed in sunshine at just the right time of day. Privacy for two couples or a family with children. The beach is just steps away. Plus there's a local farmstand at the end of the driveway to buy fresh vegetables in summer. We have stayed for two summers in a row, and wish we could stay forever. You will love it.
